MOSCOW, Dec 22 (PRIME) -- Russian delivery service Yandex Eats has been found a victim in a leak of user data in late February following an attack on a third-party hosting, where virtual machines were located with access to the company’s internal system, the service’s owner, Internet company Yandex said late on Wednesday.
“Yandex’s infrastructure was not compromised…So far, we can only confirm that we have received a victim status in the case,” the statement read.
The company said it contacted the law enforcement entities immediately and started warning the users whose data had been stolen.
A criminal case was opened, and the official investigation is still in progress, Yandex added.
